VENEER DIPTYCH

Veneer Diptych is representing the idea that in order to create protection or a shield within the human condition, a survival strategy must be developed. The subtle balancing of this concept is felt through the delivery of both the intimate and the disconnected. The many sized strings, cut canvas and thick wax protect and at the same time isolate the piece. This process of visually and emotionally layering these materials together describe the unsettling, contradictory nature of self-preservation.
