DIVIDED SERIES

In this series of Divided the gold surface adds to the decision-making about whether to stay or leave. The indecision is seen with the porcelain being physically torn, almost completely splitting the cube. The gold highlights the self-protective quality of how we need to protect ourselves when making a decision but which can also keep us from doing so. The physical and emotional tensions, within the contradictions of self preservation are felt.
