DORMANT

Living in New Orleans soon after Hurricane Katrina visually felt like a robbery. So much had been emotionally and physically taken, stolen. In this series, I am using the void as my vehicle to both emotionally and physically address the loss from Hurricane Katrina, or universally any aftermath of what is missing, what is no longer. The wax coating on the ceramic form represents the omnipresent scum of what has totally and completely soiled the city.
