MEMORY

Memory is a survival strategy protecting our ability to recall experiences. We depend on our memories even though they are at the same time chaotic and orderly systems. Through the ten different hanging and looped fabrics this piece explores the contradiction of how consistently inconsistent our memories are. Representing this connected and disconnected experience through a series of three fabric groupings, the work suggests being a glimpse of a larger, survival system.
